Fashion weeks for spring and summer season are done and dusted, so now it’s time to fully decipher what were the hottest trends. Yellow colour kept popping up on and off the runways since the beginning of the year and it’s safe to say that this hue is here to stay. It’s a trend which everyone seems to be catching up to in no time. Most definitive colours from the palette are marigold yellow, aspen gold and pastel yellow but you can opt for any shade you fancy!
Here are a few ways you can incorporate the colour into your wardrobe, from donning bright sunnies to adding a pop of colour with a neon bag and rock yellow without any fuss.
If you’re still a bit skeptical about how to work with this color, it’s best if you start with something minimal such as accessories. Be it a hairband, a necklace or even sunglasses. Sunnies in yellow hues have made a huge comeback; these yellow lens glasses sported by Mehwish Hayat give off a very retro feel.
You can’t go wrong with a yellow outfit if it’s the right the right kind of silhouette coupled with the right shade of yellow to suit your complexion. Opt for some light-weight flowy fabric for the summer season. You could balance your clothes with black or white to gain maximum impact. Shades of brown and red tend to complement the colour.
If you don’t want to look overdone, but still want that bright pop, opting for a yellow nail color is your safest bet. You could keep it subtle with a French manicure in a neon yellow shade or incorporate some floral nail art on those bright nails if you want to go for something less punchy. Remember, you van’t go wrong with minimalism!
Wear a crossbody bag or a fanny pack on a monotone outfit for that extra dash of colour which will make sure your whole outfit gets that extra oomph. The spring/summer runways were flooded with bright neon bags of all shapes and sizes. With all the celebrities and fashionistas seen carrying yellow handbags or purses, it’s rather obvious that yellow is the IT colour of the season!
