With three big releases this Eidul Azha, Heer Maan Ja, Parey Hut Love, and Superstar, it’s a hassle and a half to decide on which one to watch. Strong casts, good visuals, catchy tunes and seemingly good stories; all three boast these qualities. And as it goes, we can barely decide which one deserves our money.

Something Haute got in touch with Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman Khan, the lead pair from Heer Maan Ja, and who better to help us narrow down our choices? We asked them 3 reasons why we should watch their movie in cinemas this Eid, and here’s what they had to say!

Hareem, being the charmer that she is, gave us the three most important reasons for us to head to the cinema. “Me, Ali and me,” joked the Parchi actress. With the chemistry that the two share, we can’t not buy those reasons! After the little dig, she revealed why she thought her production deserved an audience.

The Story

“It’s a roller coaster ride with lots and lots of emotions. It’s an adorable love story if I’m being honest,” she shared.

The Performances

“Secondly, the performances; they’re really good,” revealed Hareem. The actors’ performances can really make or break a movie, so we really want to believe Hareem on that one.

Family Friendly

“Thirdly, and most importantly, it’s a family film. You can watch it with your family, and I feel that’s one of the most important aspects of a film, because usually you can’t. You always have that little tick in your brain, a little embarrassment when watching films with your family. With this one, you can take your nana, nani, chachu, chachi, anyone and they’ll have something to relate to.” That sounds like a complete family entertainer. We truly hope that it doesn’t come across as trying too hard to please everyone, though.

We then turned to Ali Rehman Khan, who’s appearing in the TV drama Khaas, where his performance is par excellence. Ali is no stranger to the big screen though; he has appeared in Slackistan, Gol Chakkar, Janaan and Parchi before while continuing to appear in drama serials. We asked him the same question, why should we watch Heer Maan Ja?

The Cast

“It has a brilliant ensemble cast. I think the acting is consistent through out the film,” said Ali. Again, we do believe that the performances matter a whole lot to ensure a movie’s success, so we really hope this is true.

All-Rounder

“It’s a complete, perfect blend of entertainment, masala, comedy, romance, drama and action. It’s got a bit of everything sprinkled all over the place; not too much or too little, so you get a good dose of everything.” A total package? Sign us up!

Paisa Wasool!

“It’s also got great music. Just a good film overall, I feel. So you come in with a smile, and you leave with a bigger smile, thinking about the movie. A complete paisa wasool!
