While artists like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan and Atif Aslam among others have won love and praise from the Indian audience, the ban imposed on Pakistani artists post-Uri attack, barring them from working in Bollywood, might not be lifted any time soon.

In fact, Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued a fresh memo reiterating their stance of not letting Pakistani artists and technicians work in the Indian film industry. The ban imposed by the film industry worker’s union in Mumbai is unanimous and would prevent Pakistani artists from performing in movies as well as TV serials produced by Indian producers in any language.

“We stand by our security forces and their families in this hour of crisis and believe in Nation comes first,” a press release issued by FWICE stated.
