With Fashion Pakistan Week Spring/Summer 2018 commencing today, it seems like there are a lot of socially responsible causes in store. While Amir Adnan’s show will feature deaf models, Cheena Chhapra’s FPW debut is set to replace models with ‘real women’. Huma Adnan’s ethnic brand Fnk Asia too, is contributing to the share of social awareness by featuring jewellery designed by refugee women.

In collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), designer Huma Adnan’s collection Pegah will feature special pieces designed by refuges women seeking asylum in Pakistan to spread the message of women empowerment.

Pegah will feature air pastels for summer, along with embroideries and prints on free-flowing silhouettes, complemented by the unique jewellery pieces.

“We as fashion influencers are blessed to be given a platform and that resources that can easily create awareness and provide long-term sustainability solutions for people,” Huma opined about this cause.

Huma will be showcasing her collection tonight on Day 1 of the show.
