Humayun Saeed, Ali Zafar, Bushra Ansari & other artists to receive civil awards

The Government of Pakistan has issued a list of 184 Pakistanis and foreigners who will be honoured with civil awards for their services to the country. Amongst the recipients are actors Humayun Saeed, Resham, Bushra Ansari, Talat Hussain and Sakina Samo. Singers Ali Zafar, Abida Parveen and HUM TV head Sultana Siddiqui will also be awarded.

Humayun, Resham, Sakina Samo, Ali Zafar, Manzar Sehbai and religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel will be awarded Pride of Performance while veteran actors Bushra Ansari, Talat Hussain and producer, director and writer Sultana Siddiqui will receive Sitara-i-Imtiaz. Abida Parveen will be honoured with Nishan-i-Imtiaz along with painter Sadequain Naqvi and poet Ahmed Faraz.

Humayun and Ali both expressed their gratitude on Twitter.
