‘Hun Bas’ strikes a chord with its potent lyrics and electrifying music

We all know that elections are around the corner and everyone is geared up to vote for their chosen political parties.
Since music is one medium which resonates very well with everyone, we have seen many such anthems lately which have had the potential to connect with people.

Speaking of which, the Pepsi BOB season 2 runners up, Jasim Haider and the Pindi Boys, just released their new song titled ‘Hun Bas’ and it seems to strike a chord. The song is not focused towards any said political party but sheds light on the lawlessness that surrounds our country. The music is electrifying and inspired by rock music with potent lyrics describing the current political scenario and how everyone has had enough of it which the title originally means.

The video however, is another story altogether. Holding placards against a morbid black background has been done to death so let’s just say that it’s not the best video we have seen. But do take note of the song, which is a decent attempt at an original track though we feel it’s sung along the same lines as ‘Pappu Yaar’ by the ultimate rock star, Ali Azmat. That’s not something we’d object to.

Take a listen to it and share your views.
