The fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) began with a star-studded opening ceremony at the Dubai International Stadium on Thursday night. Some of the keynote performances were by Junoon and Marcia Barrett of the legendary old-school pop band Boney M. However, the highlight of the event remained none other than the heartthrob of the nation – Fawad Khan – who performed the PSL anthem amidst much furore.

Most of Fawad’s fans are aware that he was vocalist for rock band EP before he became an actor but he’s always said that dancing is not his forte and he tries to avoid it. The actor was last seen performing live on stage, over a decade ago, at the Lux Style Awards after Fawad’s debut film Khuda Kay Liye was released. To see him shake a leg at the PSL anthem was a delight to watch and something not to miss out on.

Here you can see Fawad waving at his fans as he enters the stadium…

Fawad Khan, however, doesn’t feel the same way.

Talking to the Sadiq Saleem for Masala Magazine on the sidelines of the event, the actor was asked about his uneasiness with dancing and what was going on in his mind while performing?

“I have a serious case of stage fright,” the superstar said, though it doesn’t seem like it. He hides it well!

When inquired about the rumours surrounding the release of his forthcoming film The Legend of Maula Jatt, Fawad cleared the air about all the stay orders.

“The film is scheduled to release on Eid ul Fitr this year and Insha’allah you will be watching it on Eid,” he said.

Fawad looked in great shape this year; last year he had bulked up and had grown a beard for his character, Maula Jatt.

Well… there’s no such thing as too much of Fawad Khan and the actor knows it well. Something Haute also shot a candid video of him singing Jazba Junoon in chorus with Ali Azmat behind the stage.
