While we’ve seen Imran Abbas play a negative role before, his characters usually evolve into positive ones eventually. However, this time it will be different as he will be seen playing a negative figure throughout in Anjum Shahzad’s next. The drama is being produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi for 7th Sky.

“This is a 7th Sky production, directed by Anjum Shahzad who was my director for  Khuda Aur Mohabbat 1. The first time I worked with him was 8 years ago and I’ve always found him to be an amazing director; we are great friends and he’s extremely creative,” Imran shared about his equation with the director in an exclusive chat with Something Haute.

Speaking of his character, he added that it is slightly challenging for him as he is not used to playing completely negative roles.

“In my past dramas, my characters have evolved from negative to positive at some point but this time it is negative throughout. However, I am really looking forward to playing this because as an actor it is a way for me to learn how to execute different types of characters, especially those that are out of my comfort zone.”

“We have just started shooting the drama and it is going smoothly so far,”  he revealed, adding that he’s hopeful that his fans will enjoy watching him in a different, darker light.

The actor has also signed a British series titled The Trojan Horse. The project goes on floor in October 2018. Some exotic locales, including Europe, Turkey, and the UK, have been chosen as the desired spots for extensive shooting. More information will be made available during the press meet in London, slated for July 2018.
