2020 has been pretty scary, to begin with. Plans to help protect the world from COVID-19 have become the primary goal at this point in time. When considering to host a party, feast, or celebration, many safety precautions have to be taken into account to determine whether to postpone, cancel, or limit the number of attendees. The same happened with Halloween this year.

Social-distancing standards and an ongoing global pandemic have forced many celebrities to stay at home for Halloween. Similarly, celebrations in Pakistan have mostly been lowkey or private too. However, some celebrities took the time out to dress up and spook the world with their Halloween looks, regardless.

Politician, member of Provincial Assembly Sindh, Sharmila Faruqi was in the spotlight with her Halloween look this year. She made a pretty stunning skeleton!

Hira Tareen and Ali Safina also celebrated the occasion in their own fun way. “Trick & treating happiness,” wrote Ali.

In times like these, the world needs to grasp onto anything that can make it a happier place. “Sometimes the smallest of things can bring back vivid memories and experiences of childhood and that’s when you realize that maybe childhood isn’t just a phase of life that ends, it’s a reoccurring feeling that can be sparked or relived by the looking at the world with a child’s eye, finding joy in the simplest of things,” wrote Hira.

“As adults we tend to be harder to please with our complexities and expectations of those around us. Which is why I guess this year (Halloween) was all about making Mahgul happy. And that she definitely was!” she added, sharing a few happy moments.

Apart from our local celebrities, here are a few looks and greetings from Hollywood that we truly found amazing this year:

“The butcher knife and bloody handprints…. a series 😈😈😈😈🖤🔪 I love Halloween lol,” shared Vanessa Hudgens posting a series of pictures to celebrate her favorite holiday.

“Halloween is different this year, but that shouldn’t stop us from getting creative at home 👻 Be safe, be spooky, and spend time with family,” wrote Heidi Klum.

Gigi Hadid too shared a Halloween treat for her fans as she shared a picture of her happy family on the occasion of Halloween 2020.

Zayn Malik displayed his love for Harry Potter while Gigi took inspiration from a video game. However, the highlight has to be baby ZiGi in her dad’s arms. The picture was accompanied by the caption: “My first Halloween.”
