News of the Day: Fawad Khan may no longer be able to work in India but it does seem as if India is keeping him alive, in spirit at least. Talk of the town is that TV actor Keith Sequeira has adapted Khan’s look for his debut film Khoobsurat in the upcoming play, Love Ka Hai Intezar. Everyone over here and across the border knows that Fawad Khan’s role in Khoobsurat was made to swoon over, which is why Bollywood is trying to reprise that role and give us more of the royal treatment.

The small screen has taken inspiration from Fawad’s iconic role and brought a new love story between a prince and a superstar called Love Ka Hai Intezaar. In the show, Keith Sequeira and Sanjeeda Sheikh will be seen playing the roles of Prince Madhav and superstar Kamini. Sources reveal that Khoobsurat inspired the looks of the character. Talking about his look Keith said, “The look is really dapper, I am seen wearing smart pastel Nehru jackets and slim fit trousers. My character is a very contemporary guy of royal descent, so the costumes reflect his demeanour and class.”

When asked about taking inspiration from Fawad, the actor added, “I have watched Khoobsurat and was quite impressed by Fawad’s look and acting. I don’t think any one could have played Prince Vikram Singh Rathod any better than he did. Even I was surprised when the idea was broken to me. I am so glad I am actually getting to step into the shoes of the magnanimous Vikram Singh Rathod. I am having a great time shooting the part.”
