Actress Iqra Aziz was recently under spotlight after head of talent firm Citrus claimed that she had breached a contract.
Fahad Hussain of Citrus Talent alleged that Iqra had signed a TVC through another talent firm even though she was under agreement to work exclusively with his agency and that he’d be taking legal action against her. Iqra has now announced that she would also be taking Hussain to court as she was subjected to “defamation and media ridicule” by him.
I deny all accusations put forward against me by Fahad Hussain of Citrus Talent for breaching the contract. I have been in the industry long enough to know how to do fair business and I am not one to shy away from the truth. The legal system is something I have deep faith in and Inshallah I will receive the justice I deserve through a Court of Law. For reference, I have attached the legal notice that has been sent as a reply.
Iqra made the announcement through an Instagram post, in which she also wrote that even though it was true that Citrus Talent did give her a launch pad, it never gave her a copy of the contract which she allegedly breached. She also claimed that the agency consistently delayed payments it owed to her.
We are yet to see what course this legal battle will take. Stay tuned for updates.
