The supremely talented Irrfan Khan has big films to his name, from Bollywood and Hollywood alike. With the release of his last hit Hindi Medium, in which he starred alongside our very own Saba Qamar, Irrfan has gained some fans in Pakistan, as well. In a recent interview with The Express Tribune, the actor spoke about cross-border collaborations and working in Pakistan.

“I would love to work in Pakistan. I was offered a character in Bol but I couldn’t identify with that character. I didn’t like that space as an artist, therefore it didn’t work out,” Irrfan revealed.

When asked if he thinks the political tension between Pakistan and India will ever get better, the actor responded with brutal honesty, “They won’t… Because it serves the politicians. They would rather keep the focus on each other and publicise that things are really bad.”
