After two successful seasons of comedy serial Suno Chanda, expectations for a third season are inevitable. The lead pair, Farhan Saeed and Iqra Aziz,  played characters Arsal and Jiya respectively which are loved by all and sundry. With the hype that the second season created (despite its flaws), it’s unlikely that the producers won’t think about a third chapter. However, we just found out some hope that there are chances of a new season.

BBC News Journalist Haroon Rashid took to Twitter recently and revealed that HUM TV producer Momina Duraid has confirmed that there are discussions about a third season.

“Hello Suno Chanda fans. Momina Duraid has confirmed there ARE discussions about a third season but it WILL NOT air in 2020. There will be two year break and *if* it happens, it will air in 2021. Part of the series will be set in the UK,” he wrote.

We’ve already seen Jiya’s insistence to leave for the UK for higher studies so it would make so much sense if Arsal will accompany her. However, in an earlier interview with Something Haute, Farhan Saeed shared that writer Saima Akram Chaudhry has no plans of penning a third season. “I was talking to the writer and she was clear in her mind that she is not going to do (write) a third one. But you never know; we were as clueless about it after season one,” he added.

Guess we will have to wait until next year to know more.
