Bollywood filmmakers are on a mission to spoil every good song ever made by musicians. No, we aren’t exaggerating. There are several recent examples of bad remakes of old hit songs such as Madhuri’s Ek Do Teen in Baaghi 2 or the bad remix of Sri Devi’s epic Kaate Nahi Kat’te in Force 2. However, what’s more interesting is that time and again Bollywood composers and music labels blatantly copy a Pakistani track and don’t even bother to give credit where it’s due. A recent example is a version of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s song in Sidhart Malhotra and Tara Sutaria’s upcoming flick, Marjaavaan.

Titled Kinna Sona, the song’s opening music reminds you of the NFAK’s classic Kinna Sona Tenu Rab Ne Banaya and it later turns out to be the same. However, T-Series has wrongfully credited the original credits to Anuradha Paudwal and Sukhwinder Singh. The song has completely different lyrics except the hook line, but we cannot see any credit given to Khan sahab in the credits.

It is not only disrespectful to ruin a classic but also present it as your own composition. You can watch the song here:
