It really happened. The Twilight star Kristen Stewart made all the headlines with her rebellion against the controversial heels-only policy at the 71st Cannes Film Festival. The actor, who rose to fame with her popular Twilight film series, is part of the first female-dominated Cannes Film Festival jury for many decades now.

She posed on the red carpet for the Blackkklansman screening in a stylish pair of black Christian Louboutin stilettos and once her photos were done, she decided to take her heels off and walk barefooted on the red carpet.

Now that must have taken some guts!

The photographers went crazy clicking that moment when Kristen decided to give no hoots to the policy and we have proof here.

Off come the shoes and on comes the relieved smile

Walking away…

As expected, photographers went crazy clicking away as the moment couldn’t have been more priceless.

Not just Kristen but others too have spoken out against the policy, including British actress Emily Blunt, who said: “Everyone should wear flats, to be honest. We shouldn’t wear high heels.”

Well, we don’t know what the verdict will be since we understand style has a price but is it really worth it to the extent of growing discomfort?

We’d love to here your thoughts on this!
