The five-day Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) concluded yesterday and as always, a multitude of stars graced the runway with their distinct persona as they came as stunning showstoppers for their respective designers.  Most were veterans on the runway while some, like actress Janhvi Kapoor, made their fashion week debut . The show saw an interesting assortment of collections comprising bold, edgy, traditional and contemporary designs, which each celebrity pulled off effortlessly.

 

1. Malaika Arora

 

The ‘Munni badnam hui‘ famed star Malaika Arora stunned in a beautiful lime green lehnga choli embellished with intricate silver zari work by designer Anushree Reddy. Draped with a lime green organza dupatta, Malaika was surely dressed to kill in this sexy number.

 

2. Jacqueline Fernandez

 

The beautiful Jacqueline Fernandez graced the runway as a showstopper for designer Ashish n Soni in a gorgeous black gown. The red lacquered lips and that smile surely make a fashionable statement that the paparazzi loved.

 


3. Kangana Ranaut

 

She’s bold. She’s edgy. She’s fearless. All these qualities sum up to one name that is style diva Kangana Ranaut who looked fierce in a cropped blue dress with black chantilly by designer Pankaj & Nidhi. The clean makeup look with striking blue eyeliner really stands out given the dark theme.

 

 

4. Kareena Kapoor

 

The quintessential fashionista aka Kareena Kapoor looked effortlessly flawless in an off-shoulder iridescent gown by designer Monisha Jaising. We bet her killer charm and long tresses along with bold smokey eyes were all what the audience were drawn to!

 

5. Karisma Kapoor 

 

Karisma Kapoor like her sister looked ravishing in a black chantilly sari embossed with gold by designer Arpita Mehta. The sleek look paired with bold smokey eyes is all one needs to make a statement.

 

6. Dia Mirza

 

Actress Dia Mirza effortlessly exudes vinatge vibes donning a stunning rose gold ensemble titled Sammohi – an exclusive collection by designer Moksha & Hiral for the show. The braided bun strewn with flowers with silver chand balis made us reminiscent of yesteryear legends like Asha Parekh and Tanjua.

 

7. Kalki Koechlin

 

Known for her edgy style, Magarita in a Straw famed actress Kalki Kochelin makes a statement in an embellished grey gown by designer Gaurav Katta. Looking classically British wearing a fascinator, Kalki surely reminded us of Kate Middelton.

 

8. Neha Dhupia & Angad Bedi

 

The soon parents-to-be Angad Bedi and Neha Dhupia walked the ramp for Payal Singhal and were seen twinning in a subdued floral ensemble and we must admit, they looked great as a couple!

 

9. Aditi Rao Hydari 

 

 

Those dreamy eyes and the porcelain complexion instantly get all eyes on Aditi Rao Hydari. Donning a classic embellished net angarkha by designer Jayanti Reddy, Aditi looks like an ethnic dream and we loved the sleek hair and minimal jewel look that stands out and make her the most loved showstopper.

 

10. Jahnvi Kapoor

 

The Dhadak actress made her much awaited debut at the fashion week. Donning a vibrant coloured floral patterned lehnga choli by R|Elan, she made a gorgeous showstopper and reminded us of her late mother Sri Devi’s traditional beauty.

 

11. Shahid Kapoor

 

 

Shahid Kapoor made a classy showstopper donning a black suit for Amit Aggarwal’s exclusive collection titled Crystalis that brought together a unique aesthetic vision.

 

12. Diana Penty

 

Diana Penty looked surreal donning a tea pink embellished lehnga choli by designer Disha Patil. Her elegance and traditional features complemented her overall look and made her stand out.

 

13. Radhika Apte

 

The famous Netflix series Sacred Games star Radhika Apte looked edgy donning a gothic look in a grey gown by designer Punit Balan. The sleek hair look with dangly earrings and plum lips made for a captivating shot.

 

14. Sushmita Sen

 

 

Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen made her comeback at the fashion show donning a traditional kanjeevaram sari styled with modern silhouettes by RmKV Silks in collaboration with Sunita Shanker. The collection comprised a mix of culture and origin teamed with modern cuts and capes and that smile proves it all.

 

15. Varun Dhawan

 

The Badrinath star Varun Dhawan opted for an edgy look sporting face paint that reminded us of blood splashes. He turned a showstopper for Kunwal Rawal’s collection donning a monochrome suit with painted black nails and a runway that appeared like a bloodied battlefield.
