Mahira Khan is currently in London to attend the 20th annual UK Asian Film Festival. She was invited to speak at the event and where she also received the Contribution to Film and Activism Award. Her film Verna will be screened at the festival as well.

Since Mahira believes she’s a full-time mother and part-time actor, she dedicated this award to her son, Azlan.

Also at the festival, she shared the stage with renowned Bollywood actor, producer and talk show host Simi Garewal. In the session, she revealed that since the age of 10 she’s had two dreams.

“I had two dreams when I was growing up. One, I wanted to get married. I was 10 years old and I was like shaadi karni hai, because I had seen all my cousins getting married and I was like this is a lot of fun. And my second wish was mujhay Shah Rukh Khan kay saath film karni hai (I want to do a film with SRK),” she said.

And as Simi quickly pointed out, the go-getter she is, Mahira did both!
