It’s a moment of pride when our celebrities use their stature to promote social awareness campaigns and then are lauded for their efforts. Mahira Khan is one such name who actively takes part in raising funds for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH).

As part of the hospital’s recent drive, the actress went to the United States – San Francisco and Los Angeles to be precise – to appeal for funds at a gala dinner. After completing her schedule, Mahira visited Facebook headquarters on behalf of Shaukat Khanum and spoke about SKMCH’s campaigns.

The star posted a series of shots from her visit and thanked the digital platform for providing a place to raise awareness about social causes.

“Thank you @facebook for having us. On behalf of @shaukatkhanum we visited the campus and had a great talk there. Through Facebook we have been raising awareness for years now and hopefully will continue to do so,” Mahira wrote.
