The talented duo Mahira Khan and Sheheryar Munawer, who have previously worked together in Ho Mann Jahaan, and have done a few Coca Cola ads together, are now ready for their next film. Thankfully, we don’t need to imagine whether or not these two will look good together because their prior work has already established that. What we are curious about is how the film turns out (since Pakistani films have just been disappointing us since some time now.)

First of all, the title is nothing to be excited about. Called Saat Din Mohabbat In, the film already sounds a tad bit sexist. Remember Shah Rukh Khan and his “6 dinn larki in” mantra in Kal Ho Na Ho? That didn’t go down too well with feminists either. Also, if we’re already drawing comparisons to Bollywood before the film’s poster and teaser are even out, then you know the film is in trouble.

However, we still have high hopes from this rom com because it’s being made by filmmakers Meenu and Farjad who made the wonderful Zinda Bhaag and the not so wonderful Jeevan Hathi. While you can’t accredit commercial success to the two filmmakers, you can expect something unusual and creative with these two (except the film’s title.)

Also, this is the debut movie for Dawn Films so we can imagine (or rather hope) that the new production house will make some good cinematic decisions and deliver something substantial. Regardless, we’ll be watching the film for Mahira Khan and Sheheryar Munawar anyway. If you want a reminder of how cute these guys are together, watching the link below:
