Mahira Khan’s next, ‘Saath Din Mohabbat In’ announced

We’ve been speculating endlessly on whether a film called Saath Din Mohabbat In (SDMI) actually exists but it has just been announced that DawnFilms has signed a contract with IMGC Global (Private) Limited to jointly produce this romantic comedy Saath Din Mohabbat In (SDMI), with Mahira Khan and Sheheryar Munawar in lead roles.

SDMI is a romantic tale about a young man’s quest to find his true love and the obstacles that he must overcome in order to achieve his goals.

The film has a mega star cast, starring Mahira Khan, Sheheryar Munawar, Amna Ilyas, Mira Sethi, Imran Aslam, Rehana Saigol, Rimmel, Aamir Qureshi and Adnan Shah Tipu in pivotal roles.

Mahira Khan, in a live interview with Something Haute on Saturday did talk about the film and actually suggested that this was a working title. However, it appears that the film is stuck with this title.

The film, directed by acclaimed duo Meenu and Farjad, goes into production in August 2017.

“Nazafreen Saigol Lakhani CEO Dawn films and Sheikh Amjad Rashid Chairman IMGC global signed the co-production agreement,” a press release announced.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanam Mehdi –the executive producer of DawnFilms—said, “I am truly thrilled and very excited to join the production crew for SDMI. Getting the team together has been a great challenge, but very fulfilling. I cannot wait for the movie to go into production. I believe this film will be the beginning of a new era in Pakistani cinema.”

Rashid said, “It is a matter of pride for our group to have been associated with Pakistan’s film industry since 1953 from the time of my late father. We are today the largest film distributors in the country with over 225 titles to our credit. We are very excited about SDMI.”
