From showcasing her designs at private exhibitions to running a business enterprise, Mona Imran has come a long way in the last one decade. The designer, known for her beautiful design aesthetics and creative silhouettes, has recently launched a lawn collection — Imroz — for summer 2020.

The ready to wear assortment features beautiful ethnic designs with contemporary twists and luxe embellishments that accentuate the tailoring, while attention to detail makes every style standout on its own. Ideal for an Eid spent at home, the collection also caters to those who love to add new pieces to their wardrobe every season.

Here are some of our favourite pieces from Mona’s new collection…

Ice delight

This rich, ferozi blue number is a show-stealer in the Imroz collection, reminding us of a serene sea side (or Elsa from Frozen). The color has two designs; one where a patchwork of chevron patterns accentuate the front panel of the shirt intricately fused with lace work and thin gold work. The other is a floor-grazing frock with block print and gota details.

Black & white

No collection is complete without a black or white outfit and the dull gold blocks complement both colours belonging to different ends of the spectrum here. The black anarkali has hints of gold thread work with hot pink details. The white jacket with sherwani collar and large paisley motifs has an edgy feel to it.

Shades of blue

The Imroz collection covers several shades of navy, from deep tones to slightly grayish off-sets. While two of them pair with an ochre dupatta, the third makes an evergreen combo with white. Intricate embroidery and eyelets, pleats and organza details are some of the highlights in these ensembles.

Red race

There are four ensembles designed in haute shades of red and burgundy. The first one is in a scarlet and beige combo with hints of gold, while the second is deep red with lace patchwork and embroidery.

Moving to a more earthy palette, the two burgundy options are dressed up with laces, pleats and intricate work.
