With Na Maloom Afraad 2 being one of the bigger successes in the list of films that released this year, it received its fair share of praise in Pakistan. Now, taking that fame to an international level, the film premiered at the South Asian Film Festival in New York City last night.

The film’s screening at the festival officially marked its North American premiere, which was also attended by its director, Nabeel Qureshi. It was also one of the two films – the other being Sanam Saeed’s Azad – which had premiered at the festival.

“It feels great and nostalgic since the first part of the film was also premiered in the same festival,” Nabeel told Something Haute when asked how the festival premiere felt.

Na Maloom Afraad 2 was the sequel to 2014’s super-hit thriller film Na Maloom Afraad and starred Fahad Mustafa, Javed Sheikh, Mohsin Abbas Haider, Urwa Hocane, and Hania Aamir in pivotal roles.
