Before Parwaaz Hai Junoon hits cinemas on Eid-Ul-Azha, the team behind the film has released its latest song, ‘Naache Re.’

Featuring Hamza Ali Abbasi and Hania Aamir, the video showcases Shaz Khan and Kubra Khan’s wedding, where the latter seem to be the bride and groom’s best friends, and of course, the highlight of the shaadi. However, while the two are the center of attention, their chemistry is not. Lacking any sort of connection, the two feel out of place within the video.

However, given that the song is supposed to be one of the ‘first times’ Hania and Hamza meet in the film, we’ll give them the benefit of doubt and pretend that this awkward-cute-meet is part of the storyline.

However, while we can let that go, we cannot get over the vocals by Zeb Bangash and Jabbar Abbas, who despite being such strong singers, seem to be misplaced in this song. Does a wedding song like ‘Naache Re’ work with a vocalist like Zeb Bangash, who has a sweet, melodic and gentle voice? We don’t think so. It truly feels that the song screams for a singer like Meesha Shafi.

All that said, we’d still give the song brownie points for making Hamza Ali Abbasi dance a little, because, why not? We all can give in to being a little footloose sometimes.

Check out the song here and tell us what you think!
