Actor Nadia Jamil has recently gone through a health crisis when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2020. She underwent surgery and sessions of chemotherapy, however, the veteran actively shared her journey on social media and kept spreading joy through her high-spirited and encouraging messages for other cancer survivors as well as her well-wishers.

Recently, the actor shared on Instagram that her close friend, writer and producer, Asma Nabeel is unwell and she requested for prayers for her speedy recovery.

“Please pray for my beautiful friend, Asma Nabeel’s fast recovery. She is suffering serious complications after a medical procedure. I ask you all to please send some positive energy towards her healing and ask Allah to bless her with painless shifa as soon as possible,” she wrote.

“She is too precious to so many of us. The thought of her in pain is awful. Please do send that prayer her way. Both she and I are great believers in the power of positive energy and prayer. Asma Nabeel, the writer behind Nadia Jamil’s recent venture, a drama on child trafficking — Damsa — is amongst the few Pakistani scriptwriters who make sure to write strong female characters in their stories. Asma has previously fought cancer in 2013 and has been vocal about her battle with the disease. The writer-producer is also working on a movie about breast cancer, titled Fly.

Asma has shared an Ayat from the Holy Quran on her Instagram and her hashtags suggest that she is fighting the second chapter of her cancer journey, however, we wish that she emerges victorious and heals quickly.

Asma Nabeel’s most famous plays include Khaani and Khuda Mera Bhi Hai. We wish both the cancer warriors a healthy and happy life ahead!
