We’ve seen Ahsan Khan share the screen with Neelum Muneer as well as with Amar Khan. Each time, the onscreen pairings won massive admiration from the audience. This time, the three versatile actors have teamed up for upcoming drama serial Qayamat.

“Neelam and Amar are both extremely talented actors,” shared Ahsan in an exclusive chat with Something Haute.

He, very humbly told that he enjoys working with both leads. “I feel so good that despite having lesser work experience than me, the way they act is like…better than me. I really enjoyed shooting with the whole team,” he shared adding that the director is one of the reasons he was truly motivated to sign the project.

“Ali Faizan is a very talented director. After a long time, I enjoyed shooting for a romantic family drama (Bandhay Ek Dour Se) and that is one reason I said yes to his next project (Qayamat).”

As seen in the teasers released, after Pani Jaisa Piyar and Udaari, Ahsan Khan plays a negative character once again. “I play an outright villainous character. Rashid is a very rude, repulsive, spoilt brat kind of a guy as you might have noticed in the teasers,” he said.

Despite the story revolving around domestic abuse, Ahsan claims that his character is not any run-of-the-mill character.

“I have given it a different tone and body language from my previously played negative roles,” he emphasized. “My character might be of a typical negative and abusive man, but the way I’ve played this character is what’s different and unique.”

Ahsan feels positive about the success of the drama, especially his negative role. “People are going to enjoy this character. They’ll love to hate it too.”

While a good guy is a good guy, we too will agree that villains are often more layered and interesting characters in comparison. Judging from the teasers, it looks like an intense story of two sisters played by Amar Khan and Neelam Muneer trapped with the same abusive husband.

The first teaser released shows Neelam’s character is in love with Haroon Shahid’s character at her sister’s (Samra) wedding. However, later we see that she’s getting married to Rashid.

While the story might not be something we’ve never seen before, the actors are brilliant in the teasers and their expressions are flawless. If not for the plot, we’re definitely watching it for the performances.

Expected to go on air in January, the drama will also feature Haroon Shahid, Shabbir Jan, and Saba Faisal among others. Produced by Asad Qureshi and Abdullah Kadwani, Qayamat has been directed by Ali Faizan and penned by Sarwat Nazir.
