Few mobile phone companies have seen success like OPPO has. The mobile phone giant has consistently maintained a position amongst the world’s five top-selling smartphone brands and is certainly a hot favourite in the Pakistani market owing to it’s fantastic features and affordable price.

On Saturday, OPPO Pakistan unveiled their latest TVC in a grand event that took place at the Emporium Mall in Lahore. The highlight of the TVC (and of the event), is OPPO’s collaboration with Pakistani star Mawra Hocane, who is the first Pakistani celebrity to feature in an OPPO ad film. Talking about the ad film, it’s rare for TVCs to strike a chord with consumers but fortunately, OPPO’s new TVC manages to do that with aplomb.

Featuring Mawra Hocane — who is the product ambassador of OPPO’s new F9 Starry Purple phone –  and fashion model Nabeel Zuberi, the ad film has been aesthetically shot in picturesque locations in Baku, Azerbaijan. The ad opens with a stunning looking Mawra flirting with the camera before her director shouts “cut!”, which tells us that she’s playing a version of her real self in the ad film.

Her short break from shooting is interrupted when she receives a call from an old friend. But just as they start their conversation, Mawra’s phone dies and this is where OPPO F9’s VOOC Flash Charge feature comes into play. It’s hard to believe but with the OPPO F9, a quick five-minute of charge leads to two-hour talk time, an unparalleled quality that makes this phone a truly revolutionary product.

Back to our love story. Mawra, who then plugs her phone for charging, takes a couple of minutes to get ready during which time her OPPO F9 is up and running. This is followed by a long, enchanting walk through the streets of Baku which ends with the two friends finally meeting.

Sweet right?

Fresh concept and fantastic location make for stunning visuals. Add to that a super star and a dashing model, and voila! OPPO has definitely hit it out of the park with this one.
