A series of coordinated bombings struck churches during Easter services and high-end hotels on April 21st, killing 207 people and wounding at least 450, in the worst attacks in Sri Lanka with eight explosions in a row, as reported by Al Jazeera.
Prime Minister Imran Khan condemned the attack:
Strongly condemn the horrific terrorist attack in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday resulting in precious lives lost & hundreds injured. My profound condolences go to our Sri Lankan brethren. Pakistan stands in complete solidarity with Sri Lanka in their hour of grief.

Calling for swift action from authorities and appealing for peace, celebrities from around the world send their prayers to the victims to this heinous act.
Easter is a time of rebirth & joy for Christians – but extremists brought terror & violence to people at churches in #SriLanka today. I am praying for the victims’ families as they mourn. Though we grieve today, terrorists can never take away our faith or love for one another. 🇱🇰
