The patriotic film  Sher Dil has created quite a buzz ever since its release prior to Pakistan Day. Though the film has managed to garner good box office numbers, it is not a critic’s favourite. However, Sher Dil is certainly appealing to the masses, owing to the rise in tension between India and Pakistan. Latest development is that the film is releasing for its international audience next month.

Directed by Azfar Jafri and produced by Nooman Khan, the film stars Mikaal Zulfiqar, Hassan Niazi, Armeena Rana Khan and Sabeeka Imam. The film’s Indo-Pak narrative has resulted in impressive business at the box office so far. According to Lollywood Films, the movie made 4.15 crore over the first weekend of its release.

The lead actor of the film, Mikaal Zulfikar shared the news on his Instagram and extended his gratitude to everyone who has watched the film.

“Thank you, Pakistan for your amazing response. Sher Dil becomes the highest opening and highest opening weekend film of 2019. These figures are more than amazing for a Pakistan only release and it is definitely among top 5 [Pakistani] films of all times,” he wrote.

When fans inquired about the film’s international release date, he responded that it will release globally on April 12. The film is slated to release in the UAE, USA, UK and Canada. It would be interesting to see how the film is received by the international audience.
