It’s almost 2 am and I am uploading these images but writing in phrases. Want to get this over with as have too much work tomorrow. Your comments are awaited, as always.

Ali Xeeshan’s Pahal Gaam

1. Ali Xeeshan: interesting show, innovative collection. Lots of colour, bordering on a vintage look. Inspiring women to dress like individuals and not one of a crowd. The shalwar is definitely back!

Crystal galore at Rouge

2. Rouge by Faraz Manan stuck with silver whereas the rest of the country’s designers are predicting gold as the base metal colour for 2012. Pretty colours, safe collection. No oomph. No moments. Kind of boring and predictable.

3.

Sara Rohale Asghar’s collection was a daze of colour

…but the best part of her show was the appearance by Josh!

3. Everything was a daze of colour by the time Sara Rohale Asghar finished her show. Too much of everything. Too many brides in ghoonghats and a bit much of everything that has been seen before. The collection lacked innovation. That said, it was a display of heavy and fine workmanship and since SRA is so young and new to the industry, she can be given the green card to join the bridal bandwagon.

The last show was by Asifa & Nabeel for which I did not have the energy or motivation to stay for. It was past 10:30 by the time the third show ended and believe me, no time for working hours! So I left and I believe QB and BK made an appearance at the last show. I’m sure the collection was just as fresh and talented. Yawn!
