Now, all this excitement will surely be enough to keep fashion enthusiasts on the edge all week, but what is even more rousing is that this year we’ll be seeing quite a number of sought after actors and actresses on the runway, providing a necessary jolt to our fashion palettes, making us tumble over off the edge with glee.

Actresses like Ayesha Omar, Mehwish Hayat, and Armeena Khan will sashay down the runway while we can also hold our breath for the sister duo and digital sensations, Urwa and Mawra Hocane. The star couple of the hit TV show Yaqeen Ka Safar, Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir will also be seen together, this time on the runway. Model turned actress Aamna Ilyas will also be making an appearance, keeping the list to grade A. Mikael Zulfiqar is also scheduled to strut down the runway for those awaiting for some serious eye candy and not to get you all a bit too excited, we might have heard a few whispers about Ali Sethi too.

Film, music and fashion have always been in a very glamorous relationship and we do think couture shows need this elevated oomph as long as it’s done tastefully and does not take away from fashion, as is usually the case in Hum TV’s Bridal Couture Week, where celebrities completely ambush any semblance of fashion. We don’t doubt for a minute that this will never and can never happen at a council-led fashion week such as PLBW. But as we said, a little star spotting never hurt and we will see celebrities on the runway as well as in the front row.

Fawad Khan is sure to be around for his wife’s fashion week debut. And Ali Zafar usually does turn up to support Saira Shakira. This year PLBW is surely going to roar once again as being the true leader when it comes to bringing forth not just some stern fashion and couture; it will also show other platforms how to celebrate stardom without being overpowered by it.
