Day one of Pakistan L’Oréal Bridal Week kicked off with the right quotient of celeb-power on the ramp, plus a solid lineup of designers. GOLD by Reama Malik featured richly coloured outfits and statement silhouettes by Wasim Khan, while Shamsha Hashwani paid ode to Bengal with a lovely range of reds. Shiza Hassan too showed a range of trousseau wear and bridals, while Ali Xeeshan closed the show in his signature theatrical style. Watch this space for a full review, coming up. Meanwhile…

Of course Ali is not one to keep things conventional. He didn’t rely on celebrities to highlight his show, but instead paid tribute to his fellows who have supported him with ‘Lasting Loyalty’. With hand-painted portraits of Hasnain Lehri, Sabeeka Imam, Abdullah Harris, Nooray Bhatti, Amna Baber and Mehreen Syed, Ali showed the true meaning of loyalty.
