With the global MeToo movement against sexual harassment on the rise, it seems more stars are now deciding to talk about the existence of such problems in the industry. However, some continue to remain ignorant, and surprisingly, Preity Zinta seems to be one such example.

Preity in an interview with the Indian media talked about the #MeToo movement and shared her views regarding the matter. The Kal Ho Na Ho actor says she feels bad when women are using the movement for a personal vendetta.

She said that the #MeToo movement exists everywhere, however, it’s far worse in other industries than it is in the film industry. “Having said that, the film industry is one of the safest places, there are some of the most decent people I’ve worked with. So I feel really bad when people say this industry is really bad.”

While Preity thinks it’s important that the movement is happening, she feels it’s important that women use it for the right thing and not for personal vendettas and publicity. “Small percentage of women are doing it, and they’re diluting the movement.”

What’s worse was that when asked if she’s experienced such abuse, was her reply. “No, I haven’t, I wish I had,” she laughed. “People treat you the way you want to be treated,” she added.
