We have seen it earlier that when a number of Pakistani movies release on the same day, cinegoers are spoilt for choice and end up missing on one or the other film. The same was about to happen before Republic Day with three major releases in cinema. However, the makers of Project Ghazi have withdrawn from the race and decided to postpone the release till March 29.

A statement issued by the filmmakers of Project Ghazi states that the film will now release later, wishing upcoming releases Sherdil and Laal Kabootar a successful flight. The two films are releasing on March 22.

“In light of the prevalent situation and in support of the Pakistani Cinema we have decided to release Project Ghazi on the 29th March, 2019,” the statement said.

Touted to be Pakistan’s first superhero film, it’s the second time Project Ghazi’s release has been re-scheduled. The film first premiered in July 2017, but due to some technical glitches the screening was postponed. Now after almost one and half year, it’s returning to cinemas.

The film features Humayun Saeed, Sheheryar Munawar, Syra Shahroz and Talat Hussain in pivotal roles. Adnan Jaffar will be seen as the antagonist in the film while Sheheryar Munawar seems to be playing the super soldier who is taking his father’s legacy forward.
