Shaan Shahid’s upcoming film Arth: The Destination, has made headlines once again ahead of its release with the launch of its musical number,‘Murshed Ji.’ The combination of contemporary rock and sufism sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and composed by Sahir Ali Bagga, brilliantly captures the essence of love, passion and music.

Directed by Shaan Shahid, the video brings together some of the finest artists on screen.

“The song itself grips the gist of the film, themed on the holy connection a person feels for his Creator,” commented Shaan prior to the release of ‘Murshed Ji.’ 

The Waar actor believes that a romantic musical befits each one of the actors featured in the film. “The inherent motif of doing so was to ensure least detachment between their actual lives and the roles they play in the film,” states a press release.

Shaan, who plays the role of a forgotten artist is seen making a long-awaited comeback in the video. It is not a coincidence that Shaan himself has returned to acting after a long hiatus. The film is produced by Hammad Chaudhry, Faraz Chaudhry and Shaan Shahid under their banners of HKC Entertainment, Cinestar and 5th Element Entertainment, respectively.

Starring Shaan Shahid, Mohib Mirza, Humaima Malick and Uzma Hassan in lead roles, the remake of the 1982 Mahesh Bhatt classic Arth: The Destination, is set to release worldwide in cinemas on December 21st, 2017.
