YouTube sensation Rahim Pardesi, best known as the hilarious Nasreen, is all set to put his acting chops to use and is reportedly working on his first web-series with a number of Pakistani actors.

The YouTuber, who has amassed a following of 2+million on his YouTube channel for his portrayal of characters Mr. Pardesi, Nasreen and Khalid, has tried his hand at singing and is now working on a web-series which will be released at the end of this year. Titled Inspector Bulla, it will also star Nayyer Ejaz, Fatema Sohail, Yashma Gill, Osama Karamat Ali Shah (better known as rapper Osama Com Laude), Ducky Bhai, Simi Raheel and others.

“We have only just started filming the series and will hopefully be releasing it at the end of this year. It’s an action/adventure comedy and the character I’m playing (Bulla) is a very positive character,” said Rahim in an exclusive conversation with Something Haute.

We’re guessing that he’ll be playing a righteous cop? At least that’s what the picture and Rahim himself suggest! The actor/singer was also earlier spotted in Lahore at the PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week last month, catching the fashion attendees by surprise and making us wonder what he was doing in Pakistan. Well, now we know!

“Our series will be an official first for Pakistan and Lollywood. Never before has our police force been shown in a positive light, especially their image. It’s a grounded story about a noble inspector involving some very real issues that plague our society to this day. The mixing of the veteran fraternity with the newer fraternity is what I think will really work on screen. There’s a strong dynamic between all the characters, especially the main protagonist and antagonist. Their conflict is fueled on a VERY sensitive matter,” shared Osama Karamat Ali Shah.

We can’t wait to see what the series is all about and rest assured, this space will keep you updated on all the developments!
