What’s novel about floral prints? These perennial botanical designs are a part of the fashion universe for ages, but each time a blossoming bud signifies a new era and a new blooming innocence. Designer Saira Rizwan, together with Ittehad Textiles, have created the same magic with their Luxury Lawn Collection 2019.

The campaign aims to pay a tribute to some of the mentors of the designer and shine light on the special contribution of people in her life. It is an ode to all the female teachers who have contributed towards education.

“From the seriously stern to the unimaginably gentle, these super-women have molded people like us into functioning and positive contributors of our society. As a tribute to these great women, we have shot our campaign at home, in the maddeningly beautiful Lahore, at the historic Victoria Government Girls High School,” quoted the brand’s statement.

The fabric is luxurious cotton – a trademark of Ittehad – while the vivacious design philosophy is quintessentially Saira Rizwan. The designer has used floral prints over a vibrant colour palette. The combination guarantees a breezy sartorial experience to beat the sweltering heat of Pakistani summer. We have picked six spring/summer appropriate designs with high-impact flowers.

The Ombrè chicken shirt with a hint of tangerine has embroidered patches for neck and hemline. It is paired with a trouser with printed border and an organza dupatta. Moving on to the vivid shades of burgundy, we have a pearly white base with Bordeaux-coloured intricate embroidery for shirt daaman and neckline panel. With printed back, sleeves and trouser and an embroidered net dupatta, the dress is a classic design for a summer luncheon.

The royal purple piece has all effervescent shades of dhanak and beautiful cambric printed pants. Another piece that stands out has intricate embroidery intertwined with sequins over a pale mint jacquard fabric. The shade is soothing to the eyes and complements well with a luxe silk dupatta with zesty prints.

These can two can be the top picks as the vibrant shade of mustard looks refreshing with hints of black and copper hues. With paisleys, box prints and embroidered patches, the dress exudes a revitalizing energy. Floral patches, prints and pearls sum up this black and ivory number. The trouser has an ethic take on the side stripe with swirls and floral motifs.
