Bollywood actor Salman Khan seems to have landed himself in trouble again. He has been accused of hurting Hindu sentiments by naming a movie Loveratri, made by his production house. Reportedly, Salman had earlier said that the movie was deliberately scheduled to release during the Hindu Festival Navratri hence the similar sounding name of the film.

Govind Parashar – a member of extremist Hindu organisation Hindu Hi Aage [Hindus first] -  on Thursday declared a reward of INR two lakhs for anyone who thrashes the actor in public.

Parashar and other activists of the organisation burnt posters of Salman’s movie to let out their angst. They also raised slogans against the actor and the movie Loveratri. The movie is slated for an October release and features his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma.

“The movie is being produced by Salman Khan by distorting ‘Navratri’ – a religious occasion with which sentiments of lakhs of Hindus are attached. We condemn such intention of Salman Khan and seek ban on the movie. If it is permitted to be screened, we would oppose it tooth and nail,” Parashar warned.

“The Censor Board should not allow this movie. If allowed to be screened it would invite angry protests by Hindu Hi Aage and the cinema halls screening the movie would be burnt,” Parashar added.
