The eleventh PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week officially commenced last night, marking the ninth consistent year of the prêt a porter platform. And at the heart of it all, it was Sania Maskatiya with her Spring/Summer 2018 collection, Colour Dash which marked the Day 1 finale.

Working on Sania’s signature ideology of minimalism with a hint of colour that makes her prêt wear a hit each year, Colour Dash introduced a collection filled with monochromes and complementing limes, yellows, and pinks that manage to be head-turners but are never OTT.

However, what remained even more eye-catching in her cruise-like collection was her keen eye for cutting-edge silhouettes. From wrap-like structures and ponchos to their signature asymmetrical cut-lines and drapes, Sania’s latest collection showcased the bold craftsmanship and class that characterizes the Sania Maskatiya woman. It was an unconfined and relaxed silhouette, which seemed so spell out ‘freedom’.

Coming hot on the heels of Sania Maskatiya big win with the Lux Style Award for Achievement in Fashion Design – Luxury Prêt last month, the collection served as a testament to the designer’s concept of using simplicity with dashes of colour to keep her signature youthful and vibrant.
