One of Pakistan’s fashion powerhouses, Sania Maskatiya showcased her western wear ‘Sania Studio SS19’ at the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) this week. From printed silks, to modern silhouettes in complimenting patterns and shades, the collection showed diversity in her designs, which could very well resonate with the New Yorkers.

Let’s take a look at some of the designs from her collection.

Tribal candy

This tribal outfit looked snazzy in a stylish silk tunic paired with high pants as well as a short dress paired with contrasting panels. Both the styles complement the candy pink shade of silk and the elaborate monochrome patterns.

Aztec all the way

Nothing beats a funky patterned silk in monochrome. Be it the subdued combination or the design, it’s bound to stand out. Here we see the pattern doing rounds in three forms – a stylish overall, a fashionably cropped tunic and pants and a short dress with collar and a bold, plunging neck line.

Zesty funk

The funky colours and patterns used in this short silk dress are perfect for a sun kissed day in New York. The style however is inspired by a Japanese kimono, with a polka dotted silk belt at the waist. We could have totally imaged Blaire Waldorf from Gossip Girl pulling this off.

Flying peacocks

The silk white shirt complements a pattern of a peacock or a Japanese fan with a trio of colours. The mood is peppy but against a solid white background, the pattern stands out giving us a funky silk jumpsuit with a bold neck line.

The black swan

This stylish sleeveless black dress by Sania Maskatiya is charming and chic. The silhouette is minimal yet very classy. Best on the ramp as well as on a red carpet.

Dream catcher

The dress is funky with a thought provoking pattern taking us into the world of dreams. The dream catcher on the bodice stands out and makes for a complementing silhouette flowing with colourful patterns.

Retro vibes

Playful patterns with an array of funky colours make for a stylish short skirt and jacket with a black and white polka dotted top. The colours are totally retro inspired and so are the patterns.
