Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was in the news last week due to a health scare. He was hospitalized but the actor confirmed on Twitter that he has tested negative for COVID-19. Unfortunately, Sajnay Dutt has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, according to Indian media reports.

The actor, who was rushed to the hospital on Saturday after he complained of breathlessness, was discharged on Monday. He was immediately tested for Covid-19, but the test result didn’t show any presence of the pathogen of the virus. Later, it was reported that he has develop fluid in his chest.

His diagnosis at the Lilavati hospital revealed that he was suffering from stage four lung cancer. On Tuesday, Sanjay announced that he was taking a ‘short break’ from work for ‘some medical treatment’.

“Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!”

Sanjay Dutt’s next film — Sadak 2 — starring Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Pooja Bhatt alongside him will be releasing on Disney + hotstar on 28th August, 2020. The trailer of the film is out now.
