Sara Rohale Asghar was one of the many talented designers who made their way to the early evening shows at the PFDC L’Oreal Bridal Week 2017 this season. Her collection, The Royal Attire, took inspiration from the mysticism of the Arab world, channeling all things grand and opulent.

Relying majorly on rose gold and champagne hues, Sara’s floor sweeping gowns stole the show. The elaborate A-line silhouettes, farshi lehngas and structured ball gowns lit up the runway, with the essential traditional touch festive wear needs. The more modern and slightly tapered straight shirts brought a trendy sense of style, complementing the darker colour combinations in the collection. While the greys and gold are top choices this season for bridal wear, one really appreciated the dark blue numbers, one of which was paired with a lovely soft pink dupatta.

Showing a keen eye for detail, most of the ensembles featured eye catching detailing, from cut-outs to draped backs; all of which showed that the designer had gone an extra mile to give the outfits an essential finesse.

Fringed details, layered peplums and flared pants made way for the wearable statement wear every collection needs, while Mehwish Hayat’s finale gown stole the show. The red trailing ensemble was an interesting number, bringing a very modern feel to a classic bridal, with the sheer sleeves adding the right amount of oomph.
