Second teaser of ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ hints at complications in a marriage

Mere Paas Tum Ho

The second teaser of Humayun Saeed’s upcoming drama serial, ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ was released last night and it answered many questions that were raised after the first promo, leaving us more intrigued about Ayeza Khan’s character.

The first teaser of the serial gave us a glimpse into Humayun Saeed’s character, Danish, who is a simple and grounded man. Danish is a doting husband who isn’t worldly-minded, but it seems like his wife Mehwish (played by Ayeza Khan) isn’t as pleased with her life situation as her husband. Danish never thinks about a bigger house, a better car or wealth as he is always content with the love of his life: his wife. On the contrary, Mehwish wants it all.

The plotline depicts a situation which allows the characters to compromise on moral principles. We see that two people who are in love with each other expect different things from their relationship. While Danish’s life revolves solely around his wife, Mehwish aims for more as she puts it in a dialogue, “mujhey abhi tumhare elawa bhi bohat kuch chahiye Khuda se.’

In an earlier interview with Something Haute, Ayeza shared that she will play a demanding wife. “Mehwish and Danish share a cute love story in the play where the husband accepts every demand of his wife,” she said.

What we’ve seen so far are reasonable demands like good education for their child, but we are sure there is more to the story. Directed by Nadeem Baig and penned by Khalil ur Rehman Qamar, Mere Paas Tum Ho appears to be a kinder exploration of love and greed. The question remains will Mehwish’s attempt to have it all somehow break her husband’s trust? We will only find out soon on ARY Digital.
