Sidharth Malhotra’s message to Fawad Khan and Ali Zafar

Ayesha Omar is spending her summer jet setting across the world. We loved her US tour for Yalghaar (more than we loved Yalghaar) and obsessed over her wardrobe. The excitement continues as she was spotted in London yesterday. Apparently Ayesha has been interviewed for the UK-based Asiana Magazine and her interview will appear in the next issue of the magazine. The star was in the city for a shoot to go with the story.

Well there’s more to the story because last night she bumped into Sidharth Malhotra at a cafe (we saw the pictures) and the two got talking.

“We met randomly at a cafe,” Ayesha spoke to Something Haute from London. “We were with friends and they introduced us as Indian and Pakistani and he said, ‘Oh you’re from Pakistan…give my love to Ali Zafar and Fawad. So yes, he sent his love to Ali and Fawad.”

Ali Zafar, as we know, worked on a Sprite campaign with Siddharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan, of course played the role of his brother in Kapoor & Sons. There is a genuine sense of camaraderie between actors on both sides of the border (despite the stories of angst and political rivalry) and it won’t be surprising if the borders open up for cross cultural work once again. However, once bitten twice shy, we’re not certain things will be as smooth this time. We don’t think our actors will be too keen in picking up their bags and border crossing unless it’s for something truly significant.

And until then, we’re happy to keep the love alive!
