The untimely demise of Sridevi has left Bollywood grief-stricken and its shockwaves can be felt in the hearts of her fans throughout the Subcontinent. Adnan Siddiqui, who essayed the role of Sridevi’s onscreen husband in Mom – and the last hero she worked in a released film with – says people in Pakistan are going to miss her as much as the people in India.

“I am in Dubai. I was invited for Sridevi ji’s nephew’s wedding. She was there smiling and dancing, looking as beautiful and healthy as ever. Who would believe that she wouldn’t be here just four days later? I met her husband Boney Kapoor last on February 17,” Adnan told the media.

The actor, along with Sajal Aly had bonded with the late actress and shared a warm friendship with the Kapoors. Thus, Adnan added that it was an honour for him to have worked with Sridevi in Mom.

“I am truly saddened that she is no more with us and we won’t see her again. The people in Pakistan are going to miss her as much as the people in India,” he said. “God give strength to her family.”

Sridevi died on Saturday night after suffering from a cardiac arrest in Dubai.
