Highly regarded as Bollywood’s first female superstar, Sridevi breathed her last in the late hours of Saturday in Dubai.  The veteran actress suffered a ‘massive cardiac arrest,’ which lead to her untimely demise. She was 54.

The actress who gave us wondrous hits such as Lamhe, Judaai, Khudagawah, and Himmatwala amongst others was an icon par excellence whose repertoire and personality remains unmatched. Thus, when news about her death broke, it also took with it the soul of Bollywood and the Subcontinent.
