Lawn mania may take over summer year after year but we have to hand it to designers who raise the bar and develop value added fashion for the style savvy. Truth be told, only a handful of brands have maintained quality over the years and have managed to keep up with trendy, eclectic designs which undoubtedly stand out among the clutter. Mina Hasan is one such name that has been long been synonymous to exquisiteness.

She recently launched her unstitched embroidered collection and we can’t help but admire the refined palette of colours and patterns she has chosen with this line. The luxury collection offers a mind boggling variety of fabrics (silk, chiffon, organza) and prints (most commonly florals with a mix of abstract and traditional patterns) present in an array of eye-catching colour combinations. Inspired hugely by Persian floral imagery, the detailing and richness of design is what makes her collection unique.

Here are our top 5 picks from Mina Hasan’s recent collection.

Gulnaaz

As the name suggests, Gulnaaz is a tasteful mix of flowers in bloom, complemented by a rich combination of coral and magenta which is festive enough to suit any occasion. It can either be styled as a long, flowy sleeveless shirt or an embroidered jacket to match with plain coral pants. In any case, the combination is a winner.

Jaamni

Jaamni is a rich take on fuchsia hues with self-coloured embroidered motifs and a hint of green adding to its vibrancy. We love the subdued design that adds a touch of sophistication to the overall look. This shirt would look just as good with harem pants instead of slim, cigarette ones.

Gul Bahar

Gul Bahar is stunningly floral with lovely pastel hues adding to its elegance. The light grey base lends a perfect base allowing the embroidery to stand out and that instantly adds more weight to colour. We can surely imagine pulling this off on a festive sun downer or having a quiet lunch at a patio. Pair this look with pearls and diamonds to accentuate its refined colour tone.

Soraya

A biscuity base with a flush of pink floral embroidery is what one needs when the eyes are longing for something earthy and subdued. This one is not just minimalist in terms of combination but also soothing to the eyes as the play of colour is kept neutral with two shades standing out. And the style is perfect as shown in the picture. We might want to add some bling with champagne coloured crystal earrings or accentuate the look with gold accessories to make a statement.

Nafeesa

The last one in line is Nafeesa with fuchsia florals against a cool minty base. The design has an old Persian feel and a very eclectic English vibe. With just two colours in play, the design is a perfect blend of sophistication which can complement any occasion, be it dinner or lunch. The combination hardly ever fades and always maintains a hint of elegance.
