Style File: Celebrity inspired ethnic looks that caught our attention this week

When it comes to style inspiration, there are some celebrities that we can always count on for having unique, signature looks. From casual daily wear to formal festive looks, they make dressing up look effortless. This weekend, with a winter/festive mood in the air, we saw several of our favourite style stars turn on their ethnic avatar and give us some serious inspo.

Here’s a quick look…

Sanam Saeed

Tie-dye has been around forever, but it’s recently made a comeback as one of the biggest trends of 2020. Sanam Saeed looks vibrant and fresh in this tie-dye outfit paired with a silver Kohlapuri chappals. We would put this down as the perfect basant look!

Meesha Shafi

Not only does she have 1000-watt vocals, but Meesha Shafi sure knows how to slay her personal style. “Sari not sorry,” she wrote on social media under this picture, which we love. She pairs a statement blouse by Elan with a checkered sari and an attention grabbing gold belt and full points to Meesha for fulling this off so effortlessly. Note: This look has been created by a style savant and should not be imitated at home unless you’re feeling equally confident!

Kiran Malik

Someone who knows how to mix styles to perfection, Kiran Malik stuns in this Shehla Chatoor half-sari combined with an off-shoulder ruffled blouse. The belt completes the contemporary edge.

Ayesha Omar

Shalwars and shirts are a perfect combination and Ayesha Omar shows you how to pair the two by adding just the right amount of colour. A basic white shirt paired with a multicolored shalwar is exactly what you need for a funky ethnic look. Very Boho-chic!
