Earlier this summer, wardrobe stylist Soomar Rehman sent a legal notice to M&D Films for not giving him rightful credit for his contribution in Parwaaz Hai Junoon (PHJ). The legal battle first allegedly resulted in a delay in the trailer release, and later the film was rescheduled for Eid ul Azha.
After much delay and speculation, the legal battle between the filmmakers and the stylist seem to have finally settled. Here’s a copy of the agreement:
“It wasn’t easy but I’m glad it turned out positive as we have mutually settled down the matter,” stated Soomar Rehman in an exclusive chat with Something Haute. “I think we all deserve credit where it’s due.”
He also shared that the audience should go and watch the film. “A tribute to Pakistan Airforce and the movie is worth waiting for!”
Directed by Haseeb Hassan, PHJ is slated to release on Eid ul Azha 2018 and stars Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahad Raza Mir, Hania Amir, Shaz Khan, and Kubra Khan in pivotal roles.
