Amidst rising tension between India and Pakistan following India’s cowardly strike on Pakistani territory, Bollywood celebrities, as well as filmmakers, announced that their films will not release in Pakistan. Following suit, India’s biggest record label T-Series removed latest tracks by Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from their YouTube channel. However, the label has now restored the songs.

Pakistani singers Atif Aslam and RFAK, who are acclaimed singers in India as well, released Valentine’s Day special tracks titled Baarishein and Zindagi respectively on February 13. Although Pakistani actors were facing an informal ban in India, singers from the country were releasing Bollywood as well as solo tracks under T-Series contract. Both, Atif and Rahat were in contract with T-Series which apparently came to an end post-Pulwama Attack on February 14.

Although the songs were removed from the company’s YouTube channel, they have now been restored. Some sources have claimed that the decision came after the record label lost approximately 1 million subscribers for removing these tracks.
