First Look at the PSFW 2014 lineup

PSFW 2014 courtesy Faisal Farooqui @ Dragonfly In what has to be the best time for fashion in Pakistan, it's PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week (PSFW) time! Starting April 10, the four-day event held in Lahore is looking at almost 40 shows covering textiles (lawn), high street and high end fashion. Here's a quick look at the lineup. It isn't official, as no official announcement has been made yet, but it is pretty concrete if my sources are to be believed. And I think they are. First the main shows: 1. Ideally, Day Three of the PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week should have started with Nickie Nina and ended with Khadija Shah’s Elan, which was the strongest of the evening. Layla Chatoor, who had come to make a debut/comeback from Karachi, fell in between, her colour palette subtle and beautiful but her lack of confidence and runway experience showing to her disadvantage. It would be fair to say that the evening started on its strongest note and then gradually slipped into monotonous tedium of seeing one generic bridal after the other. [caption id="attachment_2556"...

That said, many people have faith that she can and will. There’s so much to say regarding the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week, and I decided not to say it in print as post India and LSA fatigue had me (and probably my readers) exhausted. That is precisely why I limited my narrative to the best collections (which were very exciting) but of course, me being me, I couldn’t resist adding more. This, however, will be my last post regarding fashion week. Pakistani fashion is...
